This large and delicious fish will keep you fed for a week! They are the staple diet for many animals in Ereshka, of course, including kematas! Legend tells of a god blessing a salmon who lept above the tallest mountain while climbing a river, and blessed that salmon, transforming it into the dragon mounts we have today!

Ereshkan Char
Salvelinus alpinus
The Ereshkan Char is the smallest char in Val-shenn, averaging about 60-120 cm, this fish is a hybrid between an Ereshkan Salmon and Ereshkan Trout. They can sometimes come in a dwarf or monstrous size due to dimorphism.

A large Koi that spans on average 8 ft long. In the olden days, Ereshkan kematas would train large kois to travel across the vast sea! The practice isn't carried any longer due to the species growing more feisty with each new generation. One golden koi will be enough to feed a whole village for two days!

Despite its name, this is not a sea snail, but indeed a fish. It carries a large head and a very disproportionate body that lacks scales, giving the fish a slimy texture when touched. Their main diet consists of shrimp but will not turn away algae and crabs when given the opportunity.

This large fish is a main staple to Ereshkan Kems, growing on average about 59 inches long and weighing up to 60 lbs! Nelma's main diet consists of plankton and small fish. They can be found in small lakes, ponds, or rivers, they seldom leave the freshwater unless its for breeding.

Ameiurus nebulosus
A fish most kems aren't happy to see. This species of catfish is considered invasive, it travels easily and can be found anywhere around the world, and is adaptable to fresh or saltwater. Many fishers are keen to throw this fish back which has allowed the species to thrive and destroy many water biomes. They eat anything from animal guts via fishing or small fish and bugs.

A large fish found in the southern waters. They like to swim around with the turtles by Tortuga and are oftentimes found burrowed underneath the sand. Despite their name, these gentle creatures have been only known to sting if disturbed or stepped on. So watch your step!

A crab often consumed by kematas, can be prepared in any way imaginable, though, steamed might be the best way!
Often found in grassy river beds or Eelgrass ocean beds, this crab is a bottom dweller that will seldom venture on land. Eating particles from the bottom of watery homes.

A little fish that likes warm waters and can be commonly found around sheltered reefs. Can also be found in shallow areas of the sea. Clownfish help protect and clean sea anemone, in turn, they get to call the poisonous plant their home. There's an old tale shared around in Port Tivali, speaks of one of such fish going by the name of Beebo that went on a grand adventure.

A small fish that has limited colorful marks, unlike its relatives. It does not get very big and doesn't make much of a meal. But when it's grilled it can make a pretty good snack or treat for your familiars! Flibbs in particular love them!

Not for eating! If you catch this fish you can put them in an aquarium but dont be fooled!!!! They need a filter and at least 30 gallons of water per goldfish! they can grow as big as a koi, never put a goldfish in a bowl or small aquarium!!!
